Dr. Michael Rouse, Senior Pastor

Dr. Mike Rouse is the Senior Pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, where he has served for over 40 years.
      Pastor Rouse is also active in the field of education, founding Mountain View Baptist School in 1982. He is currently serving as President of the Alabama Christian Education Association.  and is also the President of the American Association of Christian Schools.
     Pastor and Mrs. Rouse have been married for 46 years. They have three daughters and eleven grandchildren, one of which is with the Lord.

Matt Bookout, Assoc. Pastor

Bro. Bookout grew up in a pastor's home in Missouri. He was saved at the age of five and then surrendered his life to the Lord as a seventh grader while on a mission trip to Mexico. The Lord called Matt to preach and specifically work with youth as a senior in high school. He graduated from Crown College of the Bible in 2004 with a major in Youth Ministries.
       He met his wife, Trisha, at Crown, and they were married in 2004. God has blessed them with one daughter - Alexia Kate.
   The Lord brought the Bookout's to Mountain View in September of 2005. Bro. Bookout currently serves as the Associate Pastor of MVBC working in areas of youth, music, and missions, and also teaching in Mountain View Baptist School.

Jaime Hernandez, Spanish Pastor

Bro. Hernandez was born in Mexico, and received Christ as his Savior at age 20 at Colonial Baptist Church in Texas in 1993. The Lord called him to preach three years later, and since then he has started three churches. He attended Faith Baptist College at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama and has been a Pastor since 1996.
    The Lord called Bro. Hernandez to Mountain View Baptist in 2008, where he is currently pastoring.
       He met his wife, Emily, in 2012, and they were married in October 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church. They currently both minister to the Hispanic people.
